-5 Star Ritualist Spike Team Build-

Hello, this is Fallen Deseray AKA Rit Spikes from [Sins]. Usually, I'm spending my time in HA myself so I have quite the experience. Now, in this Guide I will show you the most common and effective Ritualist Spike Team Build. Enjoy! :)

    - Ritualists -

Ritualist Spikes (AKA Rit Spikes) are one of the most well-known spikes in Guild Wars. It evolves around 3 of the most important and mandatory skills. Spirit Rift(sometimes Lamentation), Wielders Strike, and Spirit Burn. Callers will generally call for one of these skills on a countdown. Below, I will show you the most popular and common Ritualist Spike team build.

Rt/N Caller: First off the caller will be the person who targets the victim, and will call for the spike.

    [Wielder's Strike][Spirit Burn][Spirit Rift][Blood is power][Bloodsong][Rend Enchantments][Gaze of Contempt][Resurrection Signet]

12+1+3 Channeling Magic 12 Blood Magic

Rt/D: First off, the Ritualist Dervish is also known as "The Rit Relic Runner". There are usually two-four Rt/D. Although, only two will be your relic runners, the other two will be using Life and Destruction.

    Destruction/Bond Ritualist/Dervish

    [Wielder's Strike][Spirit Burn][Spirit Rift][Offering of Spirit][Destruction][Mend Body and Soul][Spirit Bond][Resurrection Signet]

12+1+3 Channeling Magic, 11+1 Restoration Magic, 6 Protection Prayers.

    Life Ritualist/Dervish:

    [Wielder's Strike][Spirit Burn][Spirit Rift][Offering of Spirit][Life][Mend Body and Soul][Spirit Light][Resurrection Signet]

12+1+3 Channeling Magic 12+1 Restoration Magic

    Relic Runner (Recuperation) Ritualist/Dervish:

    [Wielder's Strike][Spirit Burn][Spirit Rift][Offering of Spirit][Recuperation][Spirit Transfer][Pious Haste][Resurrection Signet]

12+1+3 Channeling Magic 12+1 Restoration Magic

    Relic Runner (Recovery) Ritualist/Dervish:

    [Wielder's Strike][Spirit Burn][Spirit Rift][Offering of Spirit][Recovery][Spirit Transfer][Pious Haste][Resurrection Signet]

12+1+3 Channeling Magic 12+1 Restoration Magic

    Rt/Me

The Ritualist Mesmer is usually your "Expel Hexes" Ritualist. When you get hexed by a foe, the Rt/Me job is to get that hex off ASAP.

    [Wielder's Strike][Spirit Burn][Spirit Rift][Expel Hexes][Wielder's Boon][Mend Body and Soul][Spirit Light][Resurrection Signet]

12+1+3 Channeling Magic 12+1 Restoration Magic

    Rt/Mo

The Preservation Ritualist is focus around the elite skill "Preservation" it creates a spirit which gives off health when the spirit dies. Now, this Ritualist can have ANY secondary, due to the fact it uses all Ritualist skills. I chose monk since since it's a health focused Ritualist :)

    [Wielder's Strike][Spirit Burn][Spirit Rift][Preservation][Wielder's Boon][Mend Body and Soul][Spirit Light][Flesh of My Flesh]

12+1+3 Channeling Magic 12+1 Restoration Magic

    Rt/R

This is the most crucial of all the Ritualist builds, "The Vital Weapon Ritualist". Without this Ritualist, most Ritualist Spikes wouldn't go so well. The "Vital Ritualist" spams "Vital Weapon" on all allies. This spell gives all allies +166 Max Health for 44 Seconds O_o But at the same time, it has more skills to put up, such as "Frozen Soil". This build is usually difficult to run, so you might want someone you know that is good at it to run this build.

    [Vital Weapon][Reclaim Essence][Pain][Union][Displacement][Shelter][Empowerment][Frozen Soil]

12+1+1 Communing Magic 6 Wilderness Survival 11+1 Spawning Power

I thank you very much for looking at this Ritualist Team Build. I will put up Necromancer and Elementalist Spike builds soon :)

                                                       Fallen Deseray,

Re: -5 Star Ritualist Spike Team Build-

Aye, good solid looking team build. Can't say I've ever played in that version of rit spike; only tried the Ancestor's Rage/Spirit Rift one.

    A few additions:
Are you sure it's only the Rt/R that has points in Spawning?  Does seem rather odd given the number of spirits in the build.
"Preservation" heals random allies every few seconds, not when it dies; that's "Life".

When playing in Spike teams such as this, there are a few critical things to remember:

    >Use your spike skills when and only when your caller instructs you to
    >As you are spiking watch the terrain; see who is taking damage and who you should place a prot/heal on when the spike is over. How well you do this is an important factor in the success of the team. You can't spike with half your team dead.
    >Don't auto-attack spike targets! :P
